EB2 benefited from EB1 spillover once this bucket is full - I'm sure EB3 will move a great deal.
Another reason could also be EB2ROW spillover.
It is unfortunate for EB3 folks that their dates are not moving.
Let us wait for the official DOS bulletin and see what reasons they give to advance the dates significantly. Else IV can contact DOS to know how these projections were made.

I live inTexas and fall under Sen. Cornyn constituency. I faxed his Dallas and Washington Office this thank you letter. Everyone of us can send letter to their Senators. After all we are legal tax payers.... what u all say ???

I applaud your Amendment to provide interim relief for shortages in employment-based visas for aliens with extraordinary ability and advanced degrees and for nurses. I am one of those who are currently stuck in the muck of USCIS. I would like to request you to not give up on us. Please try to introduce another similar amendment to at least help USCIS clear the humongous backlog of Green Cards. We all really appreciate your help!

Also please call to the senators office and let them know your opinion. Please refer about the bill and convey your opinion according to the particular senator's voting on the amendment. This is very important coz this will greatly influence them and stimulate them for further similar amendments. Please dont delay. Let us heat up the issue. Please dont say anything against anyone without understanding the point.
Who the hell gave you the right to twist my statement and personally attacking me as "anti immigrant" ?? Where i have said that reversal of 20 K GC will help us ??
My simple point is the whole USCIS process is broken and that needs to be improved and rationalized . Now you/me/an immigrant can't initiate that process. The push has to come from influential CITIZENS who we call Senators , Congress Man/Women, House Representatives and so on so forth.
For them to take a step they need push from american peoples. You know why CIR has failed - the senator phone lines were jammed , Talk radio was blasting Bush , Kennedy for doing behind the door deals.. that's why...
Your/my opinion never stalled CIR - its american citizens who stalled it.
Unless citizens see a good reason to overhaul USCIS process where the push would come from ??
You want them to be accountable for the fast approval of the GC in June/July which means they need to revert the decision and give visas back.
Isn't that the whole idea behind this discussion ?

I think, gcisadawg, the problem is the structure of the indian society. This is true with westerners too but as much true.
An Indian/asian guy has to earn because he is perceived to be a bread winner. Unless he is properly settled he is not eligible for marriage.
On the other hand, if a girl is not career-oriented she can still get good husbands depending on her personality and so on.
And such girls invariably forfeit the right to send money to their parents. In such cases, one should not expect girl's parents to give her a share in their property. Its all clean.
You have Indian house wives (many of them) but you have fewer house husbands. Even if your wife works, it is supplementary income and not the main.
This is a complex equation and husbands and wives must understand the social structure we live in and adjust with each other.
Well, couple of my friends are "house husbands" now...they got laid off and their wives are still working! :D
