NO My husband has applied for I-485 and EAD card for both of us, He is on 9th year, i just got my H1 on Oct 2005.

I want to change my employer from A to B. B has filled for h1b transfer on 26-sept-2007 (I have fedex tracking number). Till today (9-oct-2007) we hv not received the receipt notice.
My expected start date was 1-oct which has been extended twice, i.e 8th & then 15th. If receipt does not come will 15th, then can I join the new employer?
Is there any way I can find out the file position/status using fedex tracking number?
Can new employer file one more application for h1 transfer under premium process?

hey everyone I was trying to download the swift 3d because a pparently it sweems like a cool one but the download trial wasn't accuriable anyway I looged into the net store and checked the full program, it costs about 159$ so I guess I want to download the trial first to give it a try before spending that much amount of money so if any of you know where to donwlaod it just plz post me a message with the title"FOund what you wanted" on your subjectt space.=)

Hi- When I started off with the green card process, I had not idea about what most of the things meant. I joined a very reputable Fortune 500 company in 2006 (the same year I came to the US on a H1B), and started my GC process in 2007. The company offered me an pre-approved labor with a 2006 PD, which had a matching requirement w.r.t job description and salary.
During July 2007, i filed for my I-140 and I-485. Subsequently, my I-140 got approved without any issues. Now, given that my priority date is close to being current (2/14/2006), I'm afraid if using a pre-approved labor will have any role to play with my I-485 approval.
And no, I'm not working for a consultant. And I have been with the same employer since 2006.

I have a problem. My Employer want to know how long it`s take to become the EB3 Visa, I meen after PERM, I-140. I`m from Germany. I have read that it`s take 4 years till a visa will be available. It`s really so?

date: when your GC was approved (when I485 was approved). Place, usually you enter the name of service center that worked on your I485. For instance, Nebraska Service Center.

I have filed two different I-140s for EB2-NIW (NSC, Nov 06)) and EB1-EA (TSC, march07). Both are pending at the moment. I wish to apply for I-485 now as the visa numbers are current in both categories.
I will appreciate if some one could advise if I can go ahead with the filing with pending I-140s. Also in that case can I file a single I-485 now and just ask it to be linked to whichever I-140 is approved first. will this work?
In this case whcih 140 number should I mention in my application and whcih center should I send the application to?

Very soon we will be adding the tab "Presidential elections and immigration" so that we get the latest on that front too.

Dear Members,
Recently my husband had received an RFE on I-485 requesting information about his employment verification letter. He had sent all documents back to USCIS and today, I saw an update on my case. The message read that case processing resumed and there will be a decision or update made in 60 days.
Do you know what kind of decision they usually make? Is it normal to have such statements written up for a denial or approval?
Any words of comfort would help. My husband is the primary applicant.

As of April 6, 2009, all applicants for non-immigrant visas at the U.S. consulate in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, must now enroll at the Applicant Service Center (ASC) fingerprint appointment before attending the interview appointment. You can only change the name on the visa by applying for a new visa. Since that is probably impractical and too much trouble, I recommend keeping the visa as is until you need a new one. If the name on your other documents is your married name, you can carry a copy of your marriage cert. to show the reason for the difference.
