Hello,
I just received my initial EAD and it is only valid for 1 year. My priority date is October 2006. Shouldn�t I have received an EAD valid for 2 years?

is your case eb2 or eb3? what nationality are you from? if you are eb2 india, then it could potentially mean that you might get GC within one year...

Is there a way to increase your work space views or do I need a bigger monitor.

I got my H1 approved in Oct 2004 and it was from Oct 2004 - Oct 2007. I used only 6 months of H1 and later went on TN (work visa for Canadian citizens) and remained in US working on TN for 4 years. I was in US all these years. Now even the earlier H1 approval duration is over, Can I apply for H1 with another employer using the old 2004 H1 quota cap or it has to be under new 2009 cap? Thanks in advance.

Hello All,
I have my EAD from Employer A. I have accepted fulltime offer from Employer B. I do not wish to file AC21 but would like to send G28 form to USCIS to change the representation so that I could recieve any queries from USCIS. My question is -
1. Would it be advisable to pick a attorney and ask him to file G28 so he could get any communications from USCIS.
OR
2. Would it be ok if I file G28 so I could get any communications from USCIS. Later, in case When I need to respond may be I could hire an attorney to respond to the query.
3. Also does not making address change in AR 11 automatically make the address change on all my cases like 485,EAD,AP etc? I am asking this because only AP and EAD are sent to me with address change but last query on 485 went to my attorney's address.
Also appreciate any of your advice to handle my case effectively after changing my employer.

Just wanted to update everybody on this. We went for renewal this morning. Took EAD, Passports and Original 485 receipts with us. When we showed our EADs the lady asked her sup, that these guys have EADs do they need anything else. Sup said with EADs nothing is needed. No Passports, No 485 receipts not even Employer letter. They renewed licenses till validity of EAD. We had 2 year EAD. So we are all set till mid of next year.

I got this mail today saying the pledge failed to meet its target of 100 people. Only 88 signed up for the pledge :mad:
I think we need to start another drive as we have more members now and we are very close to the lame duck session. Any suggestions???

Hello Gurus,
Can we apply for H1 if our I-485 is pending while the current status is L1.
The reason I am asking is I-485 is itself a COS and if we apply H1 while on L1 it is again an COS petition from L1 to H1. So what happens to the I-485 application?:confused:
Will there be any impact or no impact at all?:mad:
Is there an option to apply without asking for COS when applying H1 with the current status as L1.:confused:
