Guys,
I had received FP notice 2 days ago and my FP date is after 3 weeks. I was getting ready to try to do it early but I just received Card Production Ordered email for both my spouse and myself. What do I do now? Do I need to still go for the FP after 3 weeks.
I am not sure why they would send me the FP notice if they wanted to approve my GC.

Hi All,
I have got an RFE for my I-485 application. . I missed to complete a question (part3 and question #10) in I-485 form for which I got a request for evidence letter from USCIS. Can anyone has any template on how i should reply. Your help is much appreciated . Thanks in advance

Question # 10: Are you under a final order of Civil Penalty for violating section 274C of the immigration and Nationality Act for use of
fraudulent documents or by fraud or willful misrepresentation of a material fact, ever sought to procure, or procured, a visa, other documentation, entry into the United States or any immigration benefit.
Therefor submit an affidavit with your answer to this question a 'Yes' or 'No' response.

Hope - USCIS will start disposing faster:
On July 2, 2008, a US Federal District Court in California entered an order requiring that the USCIS pay Mr. Asghar Shirmohamadali, the plaintiff in a Writ of Mandamus (WOM) law suit against the USCIS, around $25,500 in attorney fees and $1,000 in other costs incurred during the suit. In addition, the Court had previously ordered the USCIS to adjudicate Shirmohamadali�s pending I-485 case within 30 days.

Trying to help Mother-In-Law over from China for visit. Unsuccessful w/ tourist Visa process, so now going for Green Card. Received Notice of Decision against me, unable to establish my Petitioner wife is daughter of Beneficiary Mother-In-Law. No hospital records. Previous evidence was "Notarial Certificate of Relationship." I have just received new evidence "Notarial Certificate of Birth" from civil authorities - along with affidavit from school teacher - I need to file EOIR-29, I think to call it APPEAL, OR IN THE ALTERNATIVE, MOTION TO RECONSIDER - can anyone provide a "go-by" as to what format my letter should take? Is letter format acceptable or is formal pleading format needed?
Time is of the essence, I have to file within 24 hours or give up and pursue DNA testing....

I got my 140 approved and my 6 yr H1 gets over in Jan 2010.
Could someone tell me whn is the earliest I can apply for my 3 yr extension??
And is there a time period before you have to apply for the extension?

I came to US on L1(worked for 1 year) and then switched to F1 till getting my H1B on May 2005 (which is 2 years old). How many years(3 or 4) do I have left on H1? I mean will the 1 year L1 count towards the total six years allocated for H1B?

Hi !
I have I-140 approved with PD of Aug-2007. I-485 is not yet applied. My 6 years on H1b are over. I got 3 more years of extension till 2011 on H1B based on I-140. I have also got the extended H1b (till 2011) stamped on my passport. Now I am looking to change my company before lay offs happen.
What are my options :
1. Can the new company transfer my H1B and I-140 ?
2. If they can just transfer my H1B, what happens to my PD of I-140 ? And what I may need to provide or tell the new company in case of transfer ?
3. How many years of maximum extension should I expect from the new company on H1B ?
4. Do the new company has to start GC processing ASAP ?

I am planning to visit India soon. I have my AP and an expired F1 visa.
I haven't been to India since I got my H1 approved; so I don't have an H1 visa stamp on my passport at all. My I-797 is approved until 2010.
Can you please advise if I should get my passport stamped with my H1 or should I be ok with my AP?
