Its not an issue. Make sure u fill all ur future applications like ssn, green card etc as per your passport. also ur birth certificate should be like ur passport details name date of birth and place of birth.

My PD is 02/2004 EB2-India, and I will be current in June. However, as noted by multiple folks, there is a chance that EB2-India might retrogress during the rest of the fiscal year.
Have folks had luck with an InfoPass interview so push your case? I am afraid that without any encouragement my case will just languish on somebodys desk or in a box.

hello all,
i m new to this forum. I know that when I-485 pending and EAD pending for 90 days, u can get temporary EAD from local USCIS office.
in similar way, can u also get temporary AP (advanced parole) if application pending for 90 days.

Is there any problem, if stays more than 6 months out side country.?

Hello,
I obtained an EAD using my OPT just to be able to work in the U.S. while my fiancee completes her degree (I graduated in December 06 and she will do so in May 07). Since we will get married after she graduates, and will file for adjustment of status, we thought there would be no problem in my ability to work without any interruption.
However, it seems that filing for adjustment of status invalidates your OPT, therefore you wouldn't be able to continue working until you get your new EAD.
Does that mean I would have to stop working for 90 days or so after I get married? (Remember I'm on an F-1 as I think you can keep working if on an H-1B)
If so, is there any way to minimize this problem?

Are you legally in US i.e. can you travel in and out of US?
If not, then this forum may not be of use to you as the forum exlcusively addresses the issues surrounding legal immigration
Are you authorized to work in US i.e. do you have a social security number that is valid for employment
If yes, then you should report the abusing woman to police. If not, then you maybe in viloation of US employment and immigration laws

What are people's guesses on how many of the BEC labor certifications will be rendered effectively useless because of this?
Also, does this mean it will be more straightforward to port PD after I140 approval (because the old employer has no benefit to revoking I140 anymore?)?

One can contiue to stay using I-485 receipt without valid I-94. afasik I-797 can be used only if you filed H1 extention after you came back on parolee.
If a person travels on AP, he will get a new PAROLE I-94 which shows expiry date of 1 year from the day he entered on AP. Can the person stay in US AFTER that expiry date and continue working using a valid I-797?

So far we have around 1100 people who have responded. I am currently working on H1B1 � and my visa is valid till May 2009. The visa on passport (from last employer) is valid till March 2008. We applied for green card through my spouse�s company � our I485 has been applied (His H1B1 is valid till Mar 2008). We both got our Advance Paroles, and he got his EAD � about 5 weeks ago. Though my EAD was also requested at the same time, I have not received mine as yet.
Due to my husband�s job we are moving to another city in November. I plan to resign from my job at the end of November, and go for 6 week vacation to India. I plan to look for a new job (hopefully on with my EAD) when I get back in January 2008. I have following questions:
1. Now when I resign & my H1B1 gets cancelled, what would be my status in USA.
2. Do I need to get back to H4 status to come back to US (or just AP would be enough for POE)
3. Do I need to get back to H4 status to stay in US
