    Law.com reports that the American Bar Association is being pressured to move a conference in Phoenix scheduled for next week after its co-sponsor for the event, the National Legal Aid & Defender Association, announced it was pulling out of the event.     My company filed a new PERM application recently. I have a EB3 I-140 approved from my old employer ( Approved in August 2009). My attorney had filed the new PERM and requested to capture the same date. Will this cause any problems? Below is the question that is asked in ETA9089 form.

    1. Are you seeking to utilize the filing date from a previously submitted application for Alien Employment Certification (ETA 750) ?

    Did anybody had come across this issue. Your feedback is appreciated.

    Canada gives 50% credit for stay in canada using legal visa, prior to obtaining PR towards citizenship.

    Thats great in my book if US implements similar. I already accumulated enough stay.:p But I am only being selfish. :rolleyes:

    My wife did not have SSN when her FP was done. I would not suggest writing ITIN either.
    But must write the A# from FP notice onto the form.

    But I believe my wife used her ITIN# in place of SSN in some other GC related forms , Is this going to be an Issue??

    Hey all,

    I am thinking of starting a company in partnership with an American Citizen. I currently hold H1B visa sponsored by my employer. If i start the company in partnership, can my partner/ my firm sponsor my concurrent H1B once the company is setup? My job will be quite similar to the job profile on my primary H1B.

    I know the easiest is to be a silent partner, but in my case i might have to be involved 5-10 hours a week. So i understand concurrent H1B in my case would be the best. Any advise or feedback is greatly apprecaited.

    Hi,

    I have my labor certiifcation approved and currently filed for I-140.
    I-140 is not approved yet.
    I have an offer from another employer with very similar job profile.
    My 6 yrs of H1 is getting over in 2010 summer.
    My prioriy date is Dec/07.

    What are my options
    1) Can i change a job and keep same priority date(as job profile is very similar)
    2) Do I have to start from zero again?If yes,how much time I have to get priority date assigned again(considering my H1 bgets over in 2010 summer?)
