I don't understand how removing the country limit may have resorce implications, as how I understand is, instead of adjucation an EB-2(2008) from Mali you'll be adjucating an EB-2(2004) from India, what difference it is for them ???

Those of you who got LC approved recently, did you apply to Chicago or Atlanta?
Thanks for the input. My labor was stuck in BEC. It was approved last september . I sent all the documents to my employer to file 140/485/ead/ap.He is still going back and forth on filing. MY h1extension got an rfe and he wants to wait for it to get approved and then file. I hope i wont retire before that. I am only 28 yrs short of that.When will we know the decision to the bill. I hope it passes so that he files my next stages.Can i file it with my h1 extension application pending.

I think real estate will be attractive in 2-3 years time if atleast 2 of the following happen
Prices remain stagnant since all builders are factoring in the growth. A stagnant price means real loss of 12% every year ( inflation rate)
Interest rates have to come down to 6 - 7% level in India to make it affordable
Rupee has to depreciate further to make it attractive to transfer and invest
In current situation its foolhardy if someone is investing their 2nd /3rd home/plot in India. People seem to have lost bearing on decent diversification, asset allocation.

You are right, Ramesh, sadly people have time to check for Bill updates and get their spirits down with amendment removal news but no time to get more friends to join or contribute. Please wake up people and contribute, and persuade your friends / colleagues at work you know to join IV. I got a weird response (chat) from a close friend saying she would rather donate to Myanmar/ China victim that her own Immigration cause, but I haven't given up, I will try to persuade such friends even though that raised my B.P. I just received by approved Labor Certification from PBEC yesterday. My priority date is July 2003 and my application was filed in NY under EB2 in the Traditional method.
My employer received recruitment instructions end of December 2006. They filed the completed recruitment report on February 13, 2007. I noticed my case status was 'certified' on the DOL Backlog Public Disclosure system some time early April, and it took several weeks before they sent out the original certification, which I received yesterday (May 7th).

I know many of friends who use IV as recourse for NEWS but they don't register nor contribute. Even after multiple reminders and sarcastic comments they don't. I feel pity for them, they don't understand by registering and contributing they help them self and others. Shouldn�t we make IV a monthly subscription web site? That way we will have only serious members.

Pre-2000 many companies didn't believe that all jobs could be outsourced. 2000 recession forced them to think otherwise.
These kind of bills will cause a re-thinking in corporate america's thought process. They will think of creative ways to outsource. Against this senator's hopes, it will reduce jobs here.

Please let me know how this so called multinational executives are getting compensated. Whats the stock/option given to these executives. The available information shows only three days of extended stay and one week of car which they need to share with other executives. Fortunately the extended stay suites come with attached rest room. Otherwise they need to share with other multinational executives. There would be long queue in front of the shared room and eventual back log...

Yeah, I was so envious about that designation, that I have to leave it risking by giving 2 months of advance notice(policy of the company to give 2 months notice) and finding an employer who could file my H1 and suffering 1 yr of constant followups with the company to get my pay and PF and so on. And forgot to mention, that if 2 months notice is not given we are asked to sign an agreement to pay back close to 10 grand.
Is this how a multinational executive gets treated who are fortunately qualified for the EB1 category and company projects you as most valuable employee for business development who would be sponsoring you EB1.
All this will feed the anti's and true trolls. Why don't we focus on our objectives?
If the company really feels the need , they may as well recruit someone locally who might be much more qualified without going through all of those hassles. All this is done as part and parcel of exploiting the system and its employees.
Luckily we have a choice whether to stay or not and move on to a different status like H1.

What the argument would one bring against recapturing of the lost visas ?
People who are in the line will eventually get their greencards although going through much more suffering. So from the point of view of anti/proimmigrants the amendment does not change anything in the long run.
If they were concenred about H-1Bs that part could be debated and split from the visa recapture issue.
I wander how would many answer inevitable questions from the press about word & dead discrepancies. Practivally everybody who opposed CIR claimed that they suppor legal immigration but do not want to encourage those who broke the law and came here illegaly. It's like a movie where the truth reveals in the most unexpected form.
Well at least they have shown their true faces now.
